da Capo Brass

da Capo Brass provides educational concerts and mini-residencies.  Students experience entertaining and interactive concerts, receiving supplemental instruction to their school curriculums.  da Capo Brass is dedicated to providing high-quality, memorable performances for audiences of all ages and levels.

Brass Harmonies (Kindergarten-Middle School)
Students are introduced to the instruments in the brass family and learn how instruments work together in harmony.  With literature that includes traditional children's songs, folk songs, and music from a variety of cultures, students are engaged by a stimulating combination of sounds, singing, moving, and discussion.

da Capo! (Intermediate-High School)
With da capo literally meaning "from the beginning," students are engaged in a performance and discussion of historically significant music which traces the evolution of the brass family.  Through aural examples, students identify compositional devices and techniques, forms, and stylistic practices, including contemporary performance techniques.  da Capo Brass delivers entertaining concerts that demonstrate the importance of chamber music in education and performance. 

da Capo Brass provides mini-residencies that include educational concerts, master classes, and individual/section lessons.  da Capo residencies can be specifically tailored to supplement music educators' units and/or lesson plans.  The following is an example of a Mini-Residency schedule:

9:00-10:00 ...............Warm-Ups
10:15-11:30..............Individual Lessons/Sectionals
11:30-12:30..............Lunch
12:45-1:45................Master Class
2:00-3:00 .................Concert
