Prelude Music-
The prelude music will set the mood of your wedding before the ceremony begins. Typically, the music will start thirty minutes before the ceremony and should consist of light music. Often performed songs in a more traditional service are Handel's "Water Music," "Rondeau" by Mouret and the "Trumpet Tune" by Purcell. More modern services have chosen tunes from "I Feel Pretty" from West Side Story to the theme from Linus and Lucy. You may also decide to choose a special song for the seating of the parents and/or grandparents.

The Processional-
The sound of fanfares and flourishes is used here to mark the arrival of the bridal party. Often times separate pieces are played, one to accompany the bridal party and another for the bride. Typical songs chosen for the processional are the "Trumpet Voluntary" by Clarke, Pachelbel's famous "Canon in D," and the "Bridal Chorus" by Wagner. The sound of brass will bring a majestic atmosphere to the opening of your ceremony.
The Recessional-
"I now pronounce you husband and wife!" After the benediction and the introduction of the new couple, the recessional is used to guide the bride, groom and the rest of the party out of the ceremony. The "Wedding March" by Felix Mendelssohn, Handel's "Hornpipe", and Beethoven's theme from his Ninth Symphony "Ode to Joy" are popular song choices.
Special Requests-
da Capo Brass realizes that music reflects a couple's style, taste and preferences. In addition to providing you with a list of standard wedding songs, we will accommodate any special song request that might be unique to your ceremony. It is our goal to provide each client with a worry-free, professional, and everlasting musical memory of their wedding day. Contact us for further information or to schedule a consultation.
